Still settling in…

Hey there,

So this was a big couple of weeks. Moving to Ogunquit, starting back at the Oarweed, spending a week out in Colorado, and my college graduation party Saturday night with friends and family from all over. It’s been a whirlwind of activity and I can’t say I’ve really gotten my bearings yet! Whew!

I want to thank everyone who has supported this project so far, and I’m looking forward to this Friday’s episode, filming this week!

On that note though, I want to officially update that Part II of Episode 3: The Oarweed Restaurant, will NOT air on Tuesday, as planned. Since this weekend has been so rainy (and I had a few other things on my plate), I have yet to film enough customer testimonials to make Part II really worthwhile. Like I said in my first part, New England weather really can get in the way sometimes. Regardless, I will post a Part II of the Oarweed ASAP, and keep you all posted on when that is complete. Wish us some Ogunquit sun!

Thanks again to everyone, and keep me posted on your suggestions, comments, questions, and any episode ideas! I’d love to know what you think!

Your host,

Molly

Update from OGUNQUIT! Finally!

Well, I’ve been a little busy! I graduated from NYU, which included multiple ceremonies, dinners, packing, and driving. And now I am partially unpacked in my parents’ basement, and working doubles at my other alma mater: the Oarweed Restaurant.

After a big (and lucrative) weekend of doubles at the Oarweed to celebrate my return, I am now updating via the Oarweed’s computer. Unlike my shifts this weekend, this one is, in a word, slow. Come on down for some GREAT service today! I imagine tomorrow will be the same.

I filmed around Ogunquit yesterday for my first webisode! Beautiful weather, my friend Shaun’s video camera on loan, and my boyfriend Jeffrey getting his sea legs as the entire camera crew. After some editing and jazzing things up a bit, the episode is basically done. A short one to start as an introduction to the project and what I’m all about. Depending on the content, I hope to make the real episodes around 10 minutes long, but the whole thing is an experiment. Lots of ideas for upcoming episodes, but I need to start some serious planning. Keep an eye on my Facebook account for updates about new content ideas and polls about what you want to see!

I’ve been here for almost an hour and there has been only one table filled in the restaurant. I am reminded of what a Tuesday in May really looks like. Meanwhile, I’m content to sit in my blue and khaki uniform and look at the ocean.

I’m happy to be home.
