So I’ve spent a few hours experimenting with different “themes” for my OGTtv blog, and for now, this is the winner. I’m hoping to upload a few sample videos this weekend so I can see how they look against this backdrop. Although no one is following me yet, this blog has been long in the making (at least in reference to me talking and thinking about it). So here is my resolution, or statement of intent, sent out into the blogosphere and perhaps to your computer!
My name is Molly McCoy. I love Ogunquit, Maine. Although I am from Massachusetts, I have summered in Ogunquit since high school, waiting tables at the Oarweed restaurant in Perkins Cove. I am moving full-time to Ogunquit immediately following my NYU graduation in May (less than a month and counting)! While I am returning to the Oarweed in order to pay student loans and fund things like a car (my first ever…yikes!) I will also be filming a webisode series about Ogunquit, uploaded weekly to this and perhaps other blogs and sites. I am most interested in giving voice to the welcoming community attitude of Ogunquit, not only for the benefit of potential tourists, but as an additional way of building community among locals and long-time vacationers alike! If you are a local business, I would love to discuss this project more with you and work to include you in a feature over the summer! If you are a fellow Ogunquit-lover or think you might be, I hope you return to see what I’ve done. Ogunquit has so much to offer, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Welcome to OGTtv. Enjoy the show!
He who hesitates is a damned fool.
A photo souvenir from Billy’s opening day! What a wonderful sign of the summer to come!
